Ski Center, Elatochori

On the north-eastern side of Pieria, at the location “Papa Chorafi” and at an altitude of 1,450 meters, we find the Elatochori Ski Center of Pieria. The Center is in a privileged location overlooking Mount Olympus and Aliakmonas, while it is 8 kilometers from the village of Elatochori, 36 kilometers from Katerini, 105 kilometers from Thessaloniki and 120 kilometers from Larissa.

Although its years of operation are not many (it first operated in 2001), it manages to attract thousands of winter sports fans every year, who flood its slopes and enjoy its excellent infrastructure, as well as its wonderful natural scenery.

The Ski Center of Elatochori has ten ski slopes with varying degrees of difficulty and varying altitude difference. Also, two other slopes operate exclusively for those who love snowboarding and sledding.

It also has a 1,287-meter-long two-seater aerial lift called “Dias”, which can transport up to 1,200 people per hour and serves two slopes: “Kleio”, which is considered a difficult to very difficult slope, and “Erato”, which is considered very easy. After the aerial lift, there are sliding lifts, such as “Apollon”, which serves the slopes “Kleio” and “Polymnia”, and “Hermis”, which serves the slopes “Kleio”, “Polymnia”, “Terpsichori”, “Urania” ” and “Kalliope”.

At the base of the Ski Center there is a two-story chalet, which stands out for its modern aesthetics, but also for the comforts it offers to visitors, as well as shops selling or renting winter sports equipment, as well as a ski school.
