October 16, 2024: 112 years since the liberation of Katerini
The festivities will begin on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 15, with the laying of wreaths and a memorial service at the monument of Colonel Svoronos.
On the day of the anniversary, a doxology will be held at the Cathedral of the Holy Ascension, presided over by the Metropolitan of Kitros, Katerini and Platamon, Mr. Georgios. The usual parade of schools and associations will follow.
